I became interested in photography many years ago, however my career limited the time I could spend trying to develop photography skills. I retired 5 years ago and decided to venture into photography. I am mainly interested in outdoor work as it provides endless opportunity to capture the beauty and complexity of our environment. Living in Texas provides ample vistas to photograph
.
I have been a finalist and winner in numerous photo contests including the Annual Photographer's Forum Magazine Contest, and the International Open Photography Contest. Have been published to include local newspaper. My current equipment is a Nikon D-70's, 18-70mm, 105mm macro, 70-400mm. I just sold by Nikon F-100 to switch to Digital. In addition, I recently ventured into the Medium format world. I purchased a vintage Mamiya M645-1000, 55mm, 80mm, and 150mm lens. I really enjoy using this format...as it slows you down and forces you to think about what you are doing....I'm happy with the process especially when you use a old hand held meter.....Its a GREAT teacher..
I will never be an old man. To me, old age is always 15 years older than I am....Sir Frances Bacon
Will I went and did it. Bought a camper..My bones went on strike with sleeping in a tent....I bought a Casita, its fiberglass molded, high axle, great for off road, and fully self contained. Picked it up mid June. With the weather being so hot, didn't take my first trip until two weeks ago..went to the Davis Mountains...GREAT place!...I'm on the road again!!
